This project is a musical score for an interpretation of the song "You Rascal You" by Jimmie Noone, a jazz song played by several musicians over the years. Typographical and color exploration were always prominent elements in jazz records and posters, this was a starting point for the creation of this score. The characters function as symbols of perceptible notes. I explored the color, shape, weight and size of typography according to the song. The soprano saxophone was represented by capital letters, the clarinet by lowercase with accent, the battery by punctuation marks and the piano by other symbols. The lyrics of the song, instead of being represented by characters like the musical notes, is represented by an expressive composition of photographs of an hand writting
