My proposal for the TedX Coimbra of 2014 , with the motto “Entre nós e as palavras" - between us and the words -, was among the 3 nominated.
Speech is a set of ideas organized through language that triggers reflection and feelings in the listener, and an integral part of the speech is the gestures. In the different talks of TedX the speakers use the body language to reinforce the message, to emphasize or clarify the words, and it was in this chain of ideas that I came up with the "hands".
The gestures of a speaker function as an instrument to engage the audience, pulling them into it and drawing them closer to the speaker.
In the graphic image, the photos of the hands are joined by red lines, which creates this connection of the speaker with the audience.
